What Your Trainers Eat for Breakfast

October 8, 2020 0 Comments

I’m pretty sure I could eat just about the same thing day after day for breakfast but I know not everyone is in that same boat!

I personally eat 3 eggs and some kind of veggies almost everyday…maybe some bacon added in there on the weekends 🙂 I usually just take whatever veggies I have in the fridge, chop them up, sauté them in grass fed butter or avocado oil and crack my eggs in that same pan and scramble it all together. Oh, and maybe some fruit on the side. If I’m feeling something different, I throw 1 banana, 2-3 eggs, cinnamon, and a few tablespoons of almond flour in the blender for some pancakes..I like to pan fry them in coconut oil and top with some almond butter!

Here are some other ideas from our trainers:

Lindsay does a lot of leftover soup, especially in the winter (yes, you can have soup for breakfast!) Otherwise, her favorite simple “go-to” is eggs, bacon, and avocado or sweet potato slices, toasted and topped with mashed avocado and “everything but the bagel” seasoning.

Steve eats some eggs with leftovers from dinner the night before or a nice stiff bloody mary 😉
Karissa uses whatever leftover veggies she has in her fridge to add to her eggs.

Jodi- “Fried egg (or two) with any veggies that are getting sad in the fridge and need to be used up. I like onions and peppers but you could use anything you have sitting around. Chop them up really small and throw them right into the pan with the eggs. Also super easy to turn into scrambled eggs when you break the yolk like I do most times ha!”
Melisa likes to keep it simple with a few hard-boiled eggs and Hannah’s “go-to” is eggs and avocado with “everything but the bagel” seasoning. Amber is pretty simple too with some eggs and bacon as one of her “go-to’s”.
Moral of the story- we like our eggs around here! Not a single one of us starts our day out with pancakes, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, toast, or waffles and you shouldn’t either!
By the way- if this seems too simplistic, that’s because it is. Eating healthy is crazy simple!
