The strength I have gained at the gym translates into my daily life.

after pixWhen a friend invited me to Eupraxia and I agreed to try it out, I would have placed money on the fact that I would never join a gym. Prior to trying Eupraxia, my main exercise was running. I ran with an awesome running group several times a week and though I enjoyed it, I never felt like I was good at it. Even after running a half marathon I never thought of myself as strong or as an athlete; I had no confidence in myself or my abilities physically.

That first day at Eupraxia, the only reason I showed up was that we had had a long string of really cold days and we hadn’t been able to keep up with our morning running. I vividly remember that first class, Steve was the trainer, and the workout was HARD. At one point during the class, he asked how I was doing, and I said I was afraid I was going to pass out. His response. . .”If you pass out, I’ll pick you up.” That was kind of a defining moment for me. This very strong guy who was leading this class didn’t look at me and see someone who was incapable, he looked at me and saw someone who was capable of more than I thought I was. That first week of classes was so difficult, but I absolutely fell in love with it. By the end of free week, there was no question of whether I would join Eupraxia – I was IN!

It has been over a year since that first day, and it is no exaggeration to say that Eupraxia has completely changed my life and the lives of my husband and kids. I no longer lack self-confidence in my abilities. I am not the strongest person in the gym each morning, but now I see people who are stronger than me and feel encouraged to work harder rather than feeling like I am not strong enough. Eupraxia isn’t about being number one. It is a place where each person gets to challenge his or herself every single day. I show up, I push myself as hard as I can, and I see big results. I have always been thin, but in the past year I have made a major shift in the composition of my body – increasing my muscle percentage and decreasing my fat percentage. I have definition in muscles that I didn’t even know I possessed. The strength I have gained at the gym translates into my daily life – I am more capable, I am healthier, and I am more confident than I have ever been in my life. Not only have daily workouts improved my life, but the nutrition classes and advice have completely changed the way my family eats. We are so much smarter about our food choices, and, as a result, we have seen significant improvements in our health. The final bonus I have gotten from Eupraxia is the awesome people I get to work out with each morning. Both the other members and the trainers have become friends, and we challenge each other in the best possible way.

Whether you currently work out daily, if you have never worked out before. . .whatever your current routine is, the workouts and the trainers at Eupraxia will challenge you in ways that you haven’t been challenged before. Give it a week, you won’t look back!
